5 Minute Homemade Frozen Yogurt with Berries

Our most favorite recipes are those that are quick, easy, delicious and healthy. This 3-ingredient, 5 minute homemade frozen yogurt recipe does that for us, and hopefully will for you as well. Please let us know!

We discovered this quite by accident. We have a garden and a blueberry orchard and during harvest season, we freeze the extra blueberries to preserve them to enjoy long beyond harvest time.

Frozen fruits make great summer snacks, as does yogurt. So I dolloped a handful of frozen blueberries into some yogurt and let it sit for a few minutes before eating so that it wouldn’t freeze my teeth.

When I went to stir them together, the yogurt had frozen slightly and made a stiffer batter, very much like frozen yogurt. Sure, it’s not as creamy as the ice cream-like version of frozen yogurt, and it takes more berries than yogurt to get that frozen effect, but overall it’s very good for such a quick and easy treat.

This fits our favorite recipe criteria as well and it’s become a favorite quick “frozen yogurt” fix for our family. If you’re focused on healthier snacks, you may also enjoy this strategy for managing cravings.
